CASSETTE ALLSTARS

Awwww Cassette, shucks, you asked me to be on your "All-Stars" bill!?

Yep, Cassette Nine are launching a new weekly slice of eclectic with CASSETTE ALLSTARS - a selection each week of their favorite deejays spinning "everything from 80's pop & guitar rock to indie dance and future bass"

Other fine spinners on the rotation include : Cyril Orson, Flex, Le Android, Ricky RIle, Peas, Safari Boy, Phoebe Fox. real Horrorshow, Trakman, Pretty in Pink and Jacob Moore.

And... I'm honored to be playing the inaugural night - tomorrow - Thursday 17th from 11pm-1am. Expect eclectic. Expect the unexpected, even.

Mum vs Fringe this Friday!

I'm excited like a kid on Cherry Cola in a sweet-shop about this Friday's gig at Cassette Nine with those super-cool-cats Drab Doo Riffs!

I'll be dropping maybe some old rock-n-roll, retro r'n'b and soul and some indie 'bangers' in a Teenage Kicks stylee - s'gonna be F-U-N - I play after Drabs till close - lets see if we can make that REEEEAAALLLLY late!

The Nark is awesome

Great vibes, good fun, fun tunes, good people. Loved playing there.

Busted out a pretty hard set in the end and the floor seemed to love it. Awesome.

PS - the Chemical Brothers blew my mind!

PS II - Next Dj set'll be totally different from tonight; playing post-bands at Cossie Club @ Whammy on Saturday night - expect old rock n roll, old r'n'b, soul, rare groove jams from "late" till "even later".

NARK after Chems

Ha - The Nark described me as "Auckland’s crowned king of Indie electronica, and potentially the man most excited for the impending Chemical Brothers gig in all of the city" when they booked me to play on Wednesday night at NARK After Chems this week at Third and Social.

It is true that I am excited. I might drop this lil banger by the legendary Mr Oizo and Gaspard Auge (one half of Justice)

Big ups to Rebecca Maxine who I do the Quay Street Social Club Radio Show every Tuesday 6-8pm for showing me that tune!
